The 32nd DAA board, aka the Orange County Fair Board, has cancelled two meetings in a row and are dodging their duties to the public.
The Fair Board was last seen on January 21, 2010 granting CEO Steve Beazley a raise and spiking his pension.The missing Fair Board members are Kristina Dodge (chair of both the Fair Board and the private foundation created to buy the Fairgrounds), Dave Ellis, Mary Young, Dale Dykema, Gary Hayakawa, and Joyce Tucker.
If you know where they were on February 2 or 9, the days they cancelled meetings with the public, please let us know. The Fair Board was able to attend a meeting on 72 hours notice to ask the Gov to sell the property to their private group, but they can't make 2 meetings in a row scheduled 10 days out.
The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, February 25. Let's see if they dodge that one too!
Fax the Gov 916-558-3160 and tell him to reject all bids and stop the sale.
