A Few Comments...
When the announcement came out, several people remarked that these jobs are reserved for a select few and those who are appointed must really know something about water. This fallacy arises from the consistent reliance of water districts on appointing members to their boards instead of allowing free and open elections. Under the electoral process, anyone could be elected to these positions. Please, if you are interested, apply. If MWDOC receives many applications, this will send a message to them. Water districts are used to operating out of sight, out of mind of the public. They are commonly ignored by many members of the public, to the detriment of the public good. Please apply for this position if you want to.
