Orange County Water District manages the groundwater basin under Orange County.  The district draws water from the basin for sale and operates the Groundwater Replenishment System to prevent ocean water from creeping into the basin and to allow water recycling.

Service Area

Facilities Operated

Groundwater Replenishment System to refill and recharge the groundwater basin in Orange County.

Recharge basins in the Santa Ana River and Anaheim Lake, among others.  The district also owns 2400 acres above Prado Dam for conservation and water quality improvement purposes.
