The Orange City Council passed a resolution asking the Governor to stop the sale of the Orange County Fairgrounds by a unanimous vote. The resolution was carried by Councilman Mark Murphy. Councilwoman Tita Smith reminded everyone of the economic impact of the Fair each summer. Tita also talked about being a member of 4H and how important it is to keep the 4H programs alive in Orange County.
After the resolution was passed, Mayor Carolyn Cavecche asked staff to immediately begin preparing the packet to send to the Governor's office notifying him of the Council action.
