OUSD Could Eliminate Riverdale School, Music Programs and More - Dec 10

At the December 10, 2009, meeting, the Orange Unified School District (OUSD) will discuss ways to further cut the budget and services offered to students.  On the table are:

• Closing Riverdale Elementary ($345,000)
• Cutting elementary musical instrument instruction ($385,000)
• Reduce Administration and Support Staff ($450,000)
• Restructuring custodial services ($900,000)
• Changing elementary class size to 30 ($1,250,000)
