San Diego County Water Authority has a long list of water infrastructure projects lined up. Projects include the largest dam raise in the United States - raising the height of San Vicente Dam by 117 feet. Other work includes relining pipelines, constructing water flow control facilities, and emergency storage projects.
These projects build the much needed water infrastructure, which allows our communities and economies to grow while providing good paying construction jobs which allow middle class families to continue their middle class existence. The added advantage to public works projects is many apprentices can be hired and trained on the projects, a move which builds the workforce while building valuable projects for the business community.
