Marjorie Cohn is a professor at Thomas Jefferson School of Law and immediate past president of the National Lawyers Guild. She is the author of Cowboy Republic: Six Ways the Bush Gang Has Defied the Law. Her newest book is Rules of Disengagement: The Politics and Honor of Military Dissent.
Professor Cohn is the US representative to the executive committee of the American Association of Jurists, a member of the Bureau of the International Association of Democratic Lawyers, and is on the Board of Directors of the US Human Rights Network and the Advisory Committee of the Joan B Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice at the University of San Diego. She is a criminal defense attoreny and publishes extensively in the academic and popular press about human rights and US foreign policy.
Professor Cohn provides commentary for local, regional, national and international media and will be visiting the Democratic Foundation of Orange County on Wednsday, March 17, 2010.
