The teacher strike in La Habra City Schools continues amid confusion. Early reports were that a tentative deal had been reached, but statements from the school district contradicted that. According to a statement released by Dr. Susan Belenardo, Superintendent, "Teachers on an individual basis my return to work if they have decided to no longer be on strike." To return to work, teachers would have to sign a statement stating that they were no longer on striker.

Union representatives have instructed teachers to not sign the statement because the strike has not been settled even though progress has been made.
