During the summer Congressional recess, Representatives usually have outreach events with constituents - meet and greets, coffee meetings or town halls. Ed Royce had three townhalls, Loretta Sanchez had one and participated in many other community activities.
John Campbell (had no open, free to attend meetings with constituents. He did have meetings you could pay to go to, such as a luncheon with Republican Women Federated. When over 300 people marched around his office to rally support for health care reform, he never spoke with the group, acknowledged the group, or even sent a staffer down to greet the rally.
Now is the time to put pressure on John Campbell. OC Health March wants to track and document just how many people have tried to talk with Campbell about health care reform and have been refused. Campbell has long ignored the needs of his constituents, and this is one way to easily show how Campbell operates.
Please take the time each day to call one of John Campbell's staffers and demand that he have a meeting on health care reform. Leave voicemails until you are able to talk with a live staffer. Call a staffer once a day, until Campbell comes out and talks with constituents. If you have time, write a letter or drop by the office to talk with a staffer.
Then, go to OC Health March and fill out the Put Pressure on Campbell form to track how many constituents are being ignored.
